Welcome

 

Nationally known raptor expert, Jonathan Woods visits Sedgwick Middle School and mesmerizes the children with live raptors (including the snowy owl that appeared in the Harry Potter movies.)  This program funded by the Foundation was a culminating event for interdisciplinary activities in science (food webs), language art (reading the book ‘My Side of the Mountain’), world language (learning raptor vocabulary in Spanish) and math (calculating populations and predator/prey mathematical relationships.)  photo credit:  Dr. Barbara Steele
